Islam4UK banned by proscription

Islamist group at centre of march row banned – Yahoo! News UK

This is a disgrace, I’m ashamed of my country and those of my faith who celebrate and eagerly back such meassures…

People and groups who have eagerly jumped on this bandwagon and sanctioned and encouraged the oppression & persecution of muslims at the expense of basic rights and freedoms will find that the same laws can just as easily be turned against them.

We are making a stick for our own backs, and the backs of millions of others who will ultimately be oppressed by the regieme we have welcomed and helped to create.

We desperately need to step back and make an honest objective assesment of the issues at hand, and ask the Holy Spirit to enable us to discern between propoganda and truth.

Gaining a higher perspective

We need to get some objectivity in our response to Islam; while there are undoubtedly issues and threats which NEED to be dealt with, a creeping nationalism across the British public, and the legislative / policy decisions being made in Whitehall are resulting in the actual persecution and oppression of Muslims in our nation.

Conservative evangelical Christians would tend to support (often blindly) the ‘tougher measures’ being constantly introduced in response to Islamic ‘terror’ and ‘extremist’ issues, however, we need to realise that these measures are gradually turning our nation into a police state where the potential for the worst elements of flawed human nature to infect and flourish in places of authority is greatly increased.

Consequently, as well as causing the persecution, oppression and resulting incitement of Muslims (no matter how much we disagree with their beliefs and practices), the Enemy is also building a socio/political framework into which he can introduce his own people into places of influence and authority; politicians are able to legislate at a whim and have unprecedented powers over the populace, police and security services are increasingly able to indiscriminately invade the lives of individuals who’s personal rights and freedoms have been severely compromised, courts and the legal process in general are being bypassed more and more, airport security personnel will soon be able to view naked pictures of all passengers, images which will undoubtedly find their way onto camera phones etc. because the one thing that is guaranteed in all of these cases is the depravity of human nature.

The issue of Islam and the global ‘war on terror’ are the central thrust of Satanic plans and influence in the world today but not in the way that is generally perceived by the church: the common public and political response to ’security’ issues is creating national and global apparatus designed to be directed at specific groups; ‘Islamic extremists’, ‘terrorists’, etc. without the usual shackles of due legal process and personal rights / freedoms.  It is these apparatus which will invariably be turned against other groups in the last days; populations in general will be heavily oppressed by satanically inspired government, and the very weapons we’ve fashioned against the ‘terrorists’, ‘extremists’, ‘paedophiles’, ‘dishonest bankers’, ’sexual deviants’, and other undesirable groups will be turned against us.

It’s for these reasons that I caution us all to consider carefully how we respond to the many faces of Islam in the world today and particularly in our own society.  If we see laws being passed / applied against ANY group, no matter how much we disagree with them, we should consider, “would I like to be the subject of that particular piece of legislation / policy?”  If the answer is “no” then we should be DEFENDING the rights of the group in question; calling the legislation into question and demanding proper scrutiny and accountability.

A wake up call…

It’s the dangerous kind of blind nationalism displayed abundantly by the public, press and politicians in response to the proposed Islamist protest march in Wooton Bassett which allows governments and authorities to commit crimes and atrocities against other nations and their own populations; it invariably justifies ’stronger measures’ which erode basic freedoms and human rights, it facilitates evil acts of war, terror and aggression such as we have seen in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world, and it creates a political climate where the darkest and worst aspects of human nature can thrive in places of authority.

It is used as a tool to gain power and control by unscrupulous governments and shadowy figures of power, and blindly propagated and amplified by the ignorant masses of their national populations.

It reached it’s full measure in Nazi Germany and just like there, we are so blinded by it that we cannot even see how far down the road to fascism we ourselves have already been blindly herded.

It is an evil atmosphere which exists over and above those who think to use and control it and spreads across lands and nations like a sickening fog of death and decay, corrupting all in its’ path.

Often those of ‘faith’ and ‘principle’ are the first to fall because it insidiously appeals to certain elements of their belief systems so guard yourselves and WAKE UP to what is going on around us, we should be praying and speaking out against this evil rather than being corrupted by it ourselves!

Bootnote:

Although the march has now thankfully been cancelled, pressure was brought to bear by many MPs who signed a motion urging authorities not to allow the march to go ahead.

Whitehall are now considering banning Islam4UK by proscription under the Terrorism Act, while ‘moderate’ Muslim groups are lining up to denounce Chowdry and Islam4UK.

While I personally abhour Islam4UK and their stated beliefs and aims, I CANNOT stand back while my government engages in such oppression and persecution.  Just as German Jews were forced to wear yellow stars of david, all Muslim groups in this country are now almost required to roll out the usual denunciations whenever somebody does or says something which brings more than mild criticism against our part in the ‘war on terror’.

I have no doubt that many thousands of Muslims around the country now feel obliged to display their own personal ‘crescent badge’ of verbal denunciation whenever the masses are stired up, just to feel safe in their communities, schools and workplaces, while deep down feeling oppressed and ashamed that they cannot freely and safely express their justified outrage at the crimes being commited against the people of Iraq,  Afganistan and Palestine for fear of being branded ’extreamists’.

Welcome to my Blog!

Here I’ll be recording my many thoughts, feelings and frustrations as a relative liberal amongst conservative evangelicals, and as a relative Christian amongst all you heathens!

This means I’ll generally be ranting on a lot and trying to spark some, (mostly meaningful), debate so please join in and don’t pull your punches!

I’ll also be abusing the English language, (and my keyboard), miss-spelling and generally over  punctuating so if you’re a pedantic grammar nazi you might want to have a stiff drink and just chill ;o)

While my liberal tendencies definitely extend to my use of the wonderful English language, I will censor / edit / remove personally offensive comments and general idiocy at my own discretion so please be  nice, (or at least rational!).
